Ayşe Barım’s Claims Regarding CTE Health Status
The General Directorate of Penal and Introng (CTE) Marmara Closed Prison Institution has responded to allegations regarding the health status of detained manager Emine Ayşe Barım. Barım, who reportedly did not feel well after a meeting on April 19, stated that despite normal blood pressure values, she was advised to go to the hospital as a precaution, but she declined.
In a recent statement, the CTE emphasized that there have been no negative developments in Barım’s health status following regular monitoring and necessary interventions. The institution stated that the detainee’s health is being closely monitored in both the institutional infirmary and outpatient clinics, with immediate actions taken when needed.
The CTE also addressed what they described as “unfounded and malicious news” circulating on social media regarding Barım’s health. The institution assured the public that the health of the detainee is a top priority and that all measures are being taken to ensure her wellbeing.
