Azerbaijan has engaged in discussions with the World Bank regarding the development of offshore wind energy, as Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov revealed. The meeting, which took place with a delegation led by the World Bank’s Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Ms. Rolande Pryce, highlighted the significance of the support provided for the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Scale-Up Project (AZURE) in integrating renewables into the grid.
Shahbazov expressed his appreciation for the cooperation opportunities discussed with the Bank, focusing on offshore wind energy development, green energy corridors, pumped storage hydropower, and other potential projects.
