MHP Chairman Bahceli Reacts to Opposition and Media Critics
The leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahceli, recently spoke out against the opposition and certain media commentators in an interview with Türkgün Newspaper.
Bahceli specifically criticized the recent calls for street protests, stating that they are a prime example of thoughtlessness and intolerance. He warned that these actions are pushing Türkiye into a dangerous situation.
He addressed the irresponsible rhetoric being fueled by some television channels and media commentators, particularly those associated with the Republican People’s Party, which he believes are contributing to the instability in the country.
Bahceli emphasized that despite the challenges faced by Türkiye, its rise cannot be hindered. He warned those individuals who engage in activities that undermine democracy to be prepared to face the consequences.
He stated, “Terror, sabotage, provocation, rebellion, and other forms of dissent will not achieve their goals. The rise of Türkiye will continue, and nobody will be able to halt its progress. We will build a stronger nation step by step. Our belief in the presidential government system and the Republican alliance gives us hope for the future.”
