The second Traditional New Year Festival organized by Kyrenia Working Women’s Cooperative was held today.
At the event held at the Cooperative Center, the productions of women producers who are members of the cooperative were presented to the citizens.
Emel Person, President of Girne Working Women’s Cooperative, stated that they tried to support women producers with the cooperative that was established about one and a half years ago.
Stating that the New Year Festival has now become a traditional event of the cooperative, Person noted that their aim is to bring together producers, citizens, institutions and organizations before the New Year period.
The person stated that Kyrenia Municipality and different institutions supported them in their voluntary work.
The person reminded that 2025 was declared the Year of Cooperatives and wished that cooperatives would be supported more strongly next year.
At the event, traditional food, beverages and handicrafts produced by cooperative members were sold.
