Bashkortostan Increases Horse Exports to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan
Bishkek – June 20, 2024: According to reports from the Bashinform news agency, Bashkortostan has significantly increased its horse exports to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The press service of the department of Rosselkhoznadzor for the region shared that there has been nearly a threefold increase in exports to these countries.
Between January 9 and June 10, 2024, the supervisory agency inspected 48 batches of horses destined for the Customs Union countries. A total of 830 horses have been inspected and registered for export, highlighting the demand for horse breeding products in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The department of Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized the importance of meeting all necessary requirements before exporting the horses. The animals underwent thorough laboratory tests during the quarantine period at the Bashkir testing laboratory and accredited laboratories under the jurisdiction of Rosselkhoznadzor.
This increase in horse exports is seen as a positive development for Bashkortostan’s cattle breeding industry. The region aims to further boost its exports as part of the national project “International Cooperation and Export” under the goal of promoting successful entrepreneurship and increasing non-resource non-energy exports by 70 percent by 2030.
Overall, the growth in horse exports reflects the continuous efforts to strengthen trade relations between Bashkortostan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan in the agricultural sector.
