Bhutan’s King to Visit Mongolia

The Kingdom of Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck is set to visit Mongolia from July 10-15, in a bid to further strengthen the ties between the two nations.

The friendship and cooperation agreement between Mongolia and Bhutan was signed on January 18, 2012, marking a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations. In 2023, D.Ganbold was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Bhutan, further solidifying the diplomatic bond between the two countries.

During a courtesy call on Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan Tshogpon Lungten Dorji on June 11, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Bhutan, D.Ganbold expressed his commitment to enhancing cooperation in various areas including politics, agriculture, culture, education, and health.

In response, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bhutan to Mongolia, Vetsop Namjil, expressed his willingness to actively work towards expanding cooperation between the two nations in the aforementioned fields.
