Boat on Lake Balaton completely destroyed by fire within seconds in harrowing video
A boat carrying three passengers caught fire and was engulfed within just six seconds on Lake Balaton. The incident occurred after the boat had been refuelled. Fortunately, a vet and a harbor master managed to rescue the passengers and suppress the flames enough for them to escape on another boat. The cause of the technical failure is unknown. The boat had been filled with 200 liters of fuel shortly before the engine exploded on the water. The passengers had attempted to extinguish the fire with three fire extinguishers before the rescue team arrived. The entire incident was captured on video, which can be viewed at the end of the article. The rescue team was thanked by both the passengers and lifeguards for their swift actions.
