A burst water pipeline in the Bodrum district of Muğla has caused chaos, turning streets into lakes and flooding homes and workplaces. The incident took place in the Bitez District where renovation and repair works were already underway due to frequently bursting water lines.
The burst in the renewed water main transmission line caused water to gush onto the streets, filling them with muddy water. The force of the flowing water was so strong that it caused the collapse of the asphalt, leaving a car stranded in the area.
Emergency teams were quickly dispatched to the scene to rescue the trapped car and cut off the water supply to the line for repairs. Work has already begun at the site of the explosion to address the damage caused by the burst pipeline.
