Body of Shepherd Found in Talas Region, Suspect Arrested
The body of a 43-year-old shepherd was found in the Talas region, as reported by the press service of the local Internal Affairs Department to 24.kg news agency.
On January 21, authorities received a report regarding the discovery of the shepherd’s body near Ken-Kol pasture. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers observed signs of a violent death on the body. A case was subsequently opened under the article “Causing serious harm to health” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following investigation, the suspect was identified as a 42-year-old resident of Talas district, identified only as K.B. He was apprehended and placed in a pre-trial detention center.
Investigators determined that the incident arose from a conflict that transpired while the men were consuming alcohol. Subsequently, K.B. struck the shepherd on the head with a stick, resulting in the man’s untimely death at the scene.
This tragic event serves as a reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and the potential consequences of violence. It also underscores the efforts of law enforcement in swiftly identifying and apprehending suspects in criminal cases.
