The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan has discovered and seized a significant quantity of consumer goods and medicines without accompanying documents in the warehouses of a retail outlet located on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border near Khujand – Zhashtyk – Kanibadam road. The seizure was reported in a statement by the press center of the State Committee for National Security.
The authorities have confiscated over 16,000 boxes of medicines, 19 tons of sugar, 9 tons of chicken meat, and more than 18,000 bottles of alcohol and energy drinks. The value of the seized goods is currently being calculated by an interdepartmental group. Additionally, investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this case, with the intention to initiate a criminal case.
The discovery of such a large quantity of goods without proper documentation raises concerns about the legality and safety of the products.
