Israel’s Continuous Attacks on Gaza: Civilians, Holy Temples, and Refugee Camps Targeted
Israel’s assault on Gaza has continued with indiscriminate violence, targeting civilian settlements without considering the age or innocence of its victims. The latest hit was on the Sheikh Ridvan neighborhood, leaving a trail of destruction and despair.
What is particularly disturbing is that not even holy places have been spared by the Israeli aggression. The El Iman Mosque became the recent target of an Israeli airstrike. As a result, several people were injured, including women and children who were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
Throughout the night, Israeli warplanes relentlessly bombed the Gaza Strip, focusing their attacks on important medical facilities. The vicinity of Shifa and Quds Hospitals in central Gaza were heavily hit, causing severe damage and endangering the lives of medical professionals and patients alike.
Refugee camps, where many Palestinians already live in dire conditions, were also mercilessly attacked. Jibaliye, Al-Burayj, and Nusayrat refugee camps were bombarded by Israeli forces, adding to the already dire humanitarian crisis in these areas.
Furthermore, many buildings housing innocent civilians in the Beit Lahiya region were also targeted by Israel’s airstrikes. The lack of electricity and necessary equipment has hindered rescue efforts, making it extremely challenging to reach survivors trapped under the rubble.
The scale of the Israeli assault is staggering. In just one day, the Israeli army struck 320 different points in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 400 Palestinians. Shockingly, health sources report that 70 percent of those killed are children, women, and the elderly. The loss of life since October 7 has now exceeded 4,700.
The international community must come together to stand against the atrocities being carried out by Israel. These relentless attacks on civilians, holy sites, and refugee camps demonstrate a blatant disregard for human rights and international law. It is crucial for the world to take action and put an end to this violence and suffering inflicted upon the Palestinian people.
