Cameron emphasized the importance of the release of hostages in order to bring about a resolution to the ongoing conflict. He called on Hamas to show leadership by leaving Gaza and working towards a two-state solution.
The ceasefire offer includes the temporary cessation of hostilities for 40 days and the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Israeli hostages. Cameron urged Hamas to accept the proposal, stating that the international community is watching and hoping for a positive response.
