Brutal Attack in Izmir: Teenage Girl Stabbed in Neck on Street
A shocking incident occurred in Izmir, Turkey, where a young girl was stabbed in the neck in the middle of the street. The incident took place in the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk District of Kemalpaşa district, according to the information obtained from İHA.
The victim, Betül Ç. (18), was attacked by Ç.ED (17), her neighbor who was reportedly obsessed with her. Ç.ED followed Betül as she was walking on the road in the morning and eventually caught up with her, stabbing her in the neck and beating her. He then proceeded to take Betül’s mobile phone and fled the scene.
During the attack, citizens passing by witnessed the incident and tried to chase after the attacker, but were unsuccessful in catching him. The whole ordeal was captured on camera, and Betül was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, Ç.ED was apprehended at his father’s house in Bornova Beşyol and taken into custody. He was later arrested by the court for his heinous crime against Betül.
This blood-chilling incident has shocked the community in Izmir, and serves as a reminder of the dangers that women face on a daily basis. It is crucial for authorities to take swift action in such cases to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals.
