Budapest Airport Leads the Way in Providing High-Quality Services
Budapest Airport is setting new standards in service quality as it continues to focus on providing top-notch services despite an increase in passenger numbers. The Ferenc Liszt International Airport has undergone significant developments in the past five years, with investments exceeding 100 billion HUF, all aimed at enhancing the passenger experience and service quality. This commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed, as Budapest Airport recently ranked first in an independent survey, outperforming other major European airports like Prague, Alicante, and Barcelona.
Each year, Budapest Airport participates in the international Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, where passengers rate their experience based on 37 different criteria. In the latest survey conducted from January to March, Budapest Airport received a record-high overall satisfaction rating of 4.32 out of 5, showcasing a remarkable 11.6% improvement from the previous year. The airport excelled in all aspects of the survey, including the courtesy of staff, passenger orientation, and waiting times.
Additionally, Budapest Airport was recognized at the Routes Europe Marketing Awards in Denmark, winning the Best Airline Marketing Award for airports handling 5-20 million passengers. The airport also took home the overall winner title at the event, thanks to its innovative marketing strategies that have contributed to the airport’s success in attracting airline partners and boosting passenger traffic.
The airport’s PR team also received international acclaim at the In2 Sabre Awards for their outstanding communication initiatives in 2023, highlighting projects such as the “24 hours at the airport” influencer campaign and the reality show “Fly into work!” on TV2.
Furthermore, Budapest Airport’s commitment to health and safety was reaffirmed with the renewal of its WELL Health-Safety certification. Terminal 2 of the airport remains the only facility in Hungary to hold this prestigious certification, underscoring its dedication to ensuring the well-being of passengers and staff.
