New Ahmed Javad Institute to Be Established
MHP Establishes Ahmed Cevad Institute in Honor of Azerbaijani Songwriter and Poet
The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has announced the establishment of the Ahmed Cevad Institute within the party headquarters in honor of the 132nd anniversary of the birth of Ahmed Cevad, the renowned songwriter of the Azerbaijani national anthem and the poem “Çırpınırdin Karadeniz”.
In a written statement, MHP Deputy Chairman İsmail Özdemir revealed that the decision to establish the institute was made on the instructions of Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. The institute aims to explore Ahmed Cevad’s diverse works and his contributions to the Turkish world in terms of culture, art, and literature. It also seeks to promote unity of ideas and feelings within the Turkish world.
Leading the institute is the Chairman’s Chief Advisor, Prof. Dr. Ruhi Ersoy, who has the Chairman’s full support and blessings. Özdemir praised Ahmed Cevad as a prominent figure of his time, highlighting his nationalistic stance, philanthropic ideals, and ultimate sacrifice for Turkish consciousness.
He remarked, “Ahmed Cevad was a beacon of light in his era, a martyr who championed Turkish unity and prosperity. His legacy continues to inspire future generations towards national consciousness and sacrifice.”
On the occasion of Ahmed Cevad’s 132nd birthday, his family paid a visit to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and presented him with the prestigious ‘Ahmed Cevad Medal of Honor’ in recognition of his significant contributions to the Turkish World.
The establishment of the Ahmed Cevad Institute marks a significant step towards preserving the legacy of a revered poet and songwriter, as well as promoting unity and prosperity within the Turkish world.
