Camel Racing to Feature in Asian Youth Games in Bahrain Orient

The Olympic Council of Asia has revealed the sports and age requirements for the upcoming III Asian Youth Games, scheduled to take place from October 22 to 31, 2025, in Bahrain.

In a letter addressed to the presidents and general secretaries of the 45 National Olympic Committees, the Director General of the sports organization, Hussein Al Musallam, shared that the decisions were reached in collaboration with the Organizing Committee of the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

Young athletes between the ages of 14 to 17 from various Asian nations will come together to compete in a total of 24 sports. The diverse range of sports includes athletics, badminton, 3×3 basketball, equestrian sports, esports, futsal, golf, handball, judo, jiu-jitsu, mixed martial arts, road cycling, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, wrestling, weightlifting, kabaddi, volleyball, and teqball.

A notable addition to the sports lineup is camel racing, following the recent official recognition from the Olympic Council of Asia for World Camelids Sports as the governing body for camel racing in Asia.

The III Asian Youth Games are expected to be a significant event for young athletes, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and athletic achievements on an international level.
