Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Khalk Maslakhaty Meets with Kyrgyzstan’s President Orient
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, recently visited Kyrgyzstan to hold talks with President Sadyr Japarov in the city of Cholpon-Ata. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation, such as trade and economic relations, cultural exchanges, and regional initiatives.
President Japarov welcomed Berdimuhamedov and highlighted the significance of the visit in strengthening the longstanding friendship between the Kyrgyz and Turkmen peoples. He also praised the growing trade cooperation between the two countries and proposed the creation of a joint Kyrgyz-Turkmen Development Fund based on successful models from other bilateral partnerships.
Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and expressed Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in various sectors, including trade, energy, transport, culture, and education. Both leaders expressed optimism that the discussions would lead to new opportunities for collaboration, quoting the words of Turkmen philosopher Magtymguly Fragi: “Unity is the force that turns a dream into reality.”
The talks between Berdimuhamedov and Japarov are expected to pave the way for enhanced bilateral partnership and mutual benefit. The visit underscores the importance of maintaining strong ties between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, reflecting the shared history and common interests of the two nations.
