The Palestinian Red Crescent has reported that their communication with all their teams in the Gaza Strip has been cut off. This has resulted in ambulances and first aid teams being unable to reach the injured in a timely manner.
Two Palestinian telecommunication companies operating in the Gaza Strip have also recently announced that there has been a disruption in communication and internet services in most parts of the area.
Since October 7, there have been 9 communication outages in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks. The longest of these outages occurred on December 14, 2023, where landline, mobile phone, and internet communications stopped for several hours and lasted for 4 days.
The ongoing disruption in communication and internet services has raised concerns about the ability to provide timely emergency response and medical care to those in need in the Gaza Strip. The impact of these outages on the daily lives of the people living in the region is also significant.
