On January 18, 2025, the 24.kg news agency reported that the long-standing issue of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border is set to be resolved by the end of January 2025. According to the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kamchybek Tashiev, significant progress has been made in completing the description of the state borders.
