The department reported that on September 5, 2024, the tenant of a cafe contacted the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of Chui region with a statement that an official was demanding a monthly payment of 10,000 soms, threatening with an inspection of the establishment.

The driver and the chief physician were apprehended while taking money on September 6, with the latter being placed in a temporary detention facility. A criminal case has been opened under Article 343 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
