Counterterrorism Drills Conducted in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek – April 22, 2025 – The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) in Kyrgyzstan recently conducted anti-terrorist exercises known as Asman Kozomolu — 2025. These exercises were aimed at enhancing the skills of the special forces service Alpha in using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ground robots during special and tactical combat operations.

According to the press center of the SCNS, the exercises provided an opportunity to test the safe use of FPV drones, quadcopters, ground robots, and the deployment of ammunition in the field. In a setting resembling real combat conditions, the capabilities of modern combat robotics, UAV flights, and the manufacturing of FPV drones were demonstrated.

During the exercises, several scenarios were enacted, including an assault on a simulated administrative building using a combat robot, detonation of a vehicle with a ground-based kamikaze drone, destruction of a vehicle using an attack drone, and the use of attack drones equipped with various projectiles.

After the successful completion of Asman Kozomolu — 2025 exercises, the Chairman of the SCNS, Kamchybek Tashiev, addressed the fighters of the special unit “A.” Tashiev highlighted the government’s commitment to providing the security forces with a modern material and technical base and called on the fighters to remain prepared to carry out combat missions against terrorist, extremist, and destructive forces.

Overall, the exercises showcased the dedication of Kyrgyzstan’s security forces to enhancing their capabilities and readiness to tackle various security threats in the region.
