Hezbollah and Amal Movement Report Losses in Clashes with Israeli Forces
Hezbollah and its ally, the Amal Movement, have released a statement detailing the casualties suffered in recent clashes with Israeli forces along the Israel-Lebanon border.
According to the statement, several members of both organizations lost their lives in the confrontations in the south of Lebanon. Among the casualties were Hezbollah members Muhammed Ali Derviş, Mustafa Hıdır Kasir, Abbas Ali Mehdi, and Abdulkerim Samhat. Additionally, Ali İsa, Muhammed Said, and Kadım Nizar from the Amal Movement were also reported to have died in the clashes.
The total number of Hezbollah members killed in clashes with the Israeli army since October 8, 2023, now stands at 205, while the number of casualties from the Amal Movement has reached 11.
The statement also highlighted the broader human cost of the clashes, noting that 12 members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, 12 from the Hamas Movement, as well as 41 Lebanese civilians, 1 soldier, 2 Lebanese security officers, 6 Israeli civilians, and 11 Israeli soldiers, lost their lives in the violence.
The clashes along the Israel-Lebanon border have resulted in a significant loss of life on both sides, underscoring the ongoing tensions and conflict in the region. The toll of the recent violence serves as a grim reminder of the continuing challenges and risks faced by those living in the area.
