Deadly Fuel Tanker Explosion Rocks Liberia
The death toll in Liberia’s tanker explosion has increased to 40, according to Liberia Public Health Administration Director Dr. Francis Kateh. The tragedy occurred when a fuel tanker traveling in the Bong region of the country went off the road and overturned, resulting in numerous injuries, including women and children. Some of those injured are in critical condition, and healthcare workers are currently going door-to-door to identify and provide treatment to the wounded. Social media images depict scenes of panic following the explosion, with some individuals suffering severe burn injuries.
