Delayed Salary: What Actions Will EYT Members Take?

Approximately 150,000 people who have applied for retirement from the Early Retirement Law (EYT) are still waiting to receive their salaries. While most applicants have already received their payments, there are still some who have not been paid yet. According to SGK Specialist Özgür Kaya, those who have past debts with General Health Insurance and Bağkur, as well as issues with the number of days worked, may face delays with receiving their payments. Kaya advises affected individuals to fix these issues by June 1.

For those awaiting their holiday bonus, Kaya explained that EYT members who applied for retirement in March, April, and May will receive both the Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha bonuses. However, those who apply in June will only receive the Eid-al-Adha bonus.

As for the raise that all retirees will receive in July, Kaya stated that all retirees will receive a raise and that there will be a 35 percent increase after adding a 10 percent welfare share on top of the 20 percent announced by the Central Bank. This news may come as a relief to EYT members who have been waiting for their salaries and bonuses.
