DeSantis Withdraws from US Presidential Race

Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has announced his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential elections in a video shared on his social media account. In the video, DeSantis emphasized the desire of Republicans to give former US President Donald Trump another chance, despite previous disagreements.
During the announcement, DeSantis acknowledged that while he had some disagreements with Trump, particularly related to the COVID-19 epidemic and his choice of Antony Fauci, he still believed that Trump was a superior choice to the current President, Joe Biden. Despite this, DeSantis ultimately decided to keep his promise to support the Republican candidate and withdrew from the race.
DeSantis explained that he believed he would not be successful in the race and did not want to take up more time and resources from the voters. As a result, he announced his withdrawal from the presidential candidacy for 2024.
The next primary elections in the US are scheduled to be held in the state of New Hampshire on January 23, with the primary election process set to last until June 8. Both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party will determine their official candidates for the presidential elections at their party congresses in July and August.
The presidential election is set to take place on November 5, and the winner will take office on January 20, 2025. DeSantis’s decision to withdraw from the race will likely have an impact on the dynamics of the Republican Party’s candidate selection process.
