Destructive Dust Storms Sweep Through Navoi Region
Intense Dust Storms Cause Reduced Visibility in Northern Regions of Navoi and Bukhara
The Hydrometeorological Service Agency has reported that the northern regions of the Navoi region are currently experiencing intense dust storms. Strong winds in the area have resulted in dusty weather conditions and reduced visibility, with the visibility being reduced to 40-50 meters.
Images from the affected regions show the extent of the dusty conditions, with winds carrying large volumes of dust and reducing visibility on the roads. Similar conditions are also being observed in the desert regions of the Bukhara region, causing difficulties for drivers.
The ongoing dust storms are a result of the strong winds prevailing in these regions. Previously, it was reported that wind speeds in certain parts of the republic could reach 17–22 meters per second and occasionally intensify up to 25–28 meters per second between February 16 and 18.
The reduced visibility and dusty weather conditions are expected to continue until the dust storms subside. It is advised that drivers in the affected regions proceed with caution and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety on the roads.
