District Education Director’s Car Crashes into Ditch in Tunceli
A truck driven by Tunceli’s Hozat District Director of National Education, Murat Kaflı, got out of control and crashed into a ditch on the way back to the district from the Higher Institutions Examination (YKS) in the city center. The accident, which occurred in the Çığırlı village location of the Tunceli-Hozat highway, resulted in injuries to Kaflı, his son Egemen, and two students who were in the vehicle.
The pickup truck, with license plate number 34 EHA 086, went off the road as Kaflı lost control of the steering wheel, causing it to fall into the ditch. Following the accident, health and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Kaflı, his son, and the students were provided with first aid and then transferred to Tunceli State Hospital for further treatment.
Kaflı sustained fractures in the accident, while the injuries to the other individuals were reported as non-life-threatening. It was revealed that Kaflı had been returning from taking his son and students to the YKS exam in the city center when the accident occurred.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated to determine the cause of the crash and any contributing factors. We wish all those involved in the accident a speedy recovery.
