
Dual Earthquakes Strike Western Japan: 6.4 and 5 Magnitude Quakes Recorded

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 and another with a magnitude of 5 struck Japan late in the evening, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred at 23:14 local time, followed by the 5 magnitude earthquake at 23:19.
The epicenter of the magnitude 6.4 earthquake was located at a depth of 50 kilometers, while the magnitude 5 earthquake was recorded at a depth of 40 kilometers. The tremors were felt in several prefectures including Ehime, Kochi, Oita, and Hiroshima.
Fortunately, no tsunami warning was issued in the aftermath of the earthquakes. The affected regions are still evaluating the extent of the damage caused by the seismic activity.
The Bungo-suido Strait, which connects the Seto Inland Sea with the Philippine Sea, experienced the impact of these earthquakes. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and providing assistance to those in need.
