Efkan Ala replaces Numan Kurtulmuş as Deputy Chairman of AK Party
New AK Party Deputy Chairman Takes Over from Numan Kurtulmuş
June 21, 2023 – In a recent meeting, the successor to AK Party Deputy Chairman, Numan Kurtulmuş, was announced. Efkan Ala, who has been elected as the Speaker of the Assembly, has taken over the duties of the new Deputy Chairman.
During the meeting, important messages were conveyed. Kurtulmuş, the President of the Assembly, emphasized the importance of the Century of Turkey. He stated, “This marks the beginning of a period where Turkey has set new targets for the next 100 years. We will strive to make Turkey one of the leading and exemplary countries in the world in the upcoming century.”

Furthermore, Kurtulmuş hinted at the possibility of a new constitution. He stated, “It is evident that Turkey is in need of a civil, democratic, inclusive, encompassing, and national constitution. All political parties will diligently work towards the creation of a new constitution.”
Ala also expressed his gratitude for being appointed as the AK Party Deputy Chairman. He stated, “I am honored to have the opportunity to receive your advice and suggestions here.”
