
Embezzlement of 2.6 Billion UZS Gas from CNG Filling Station in Tashkent

Law enforcement officers in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent recently uncovered a case of embezzlement at a CNG filling station, where natural gas worth 2.6 billion UZS was stolen. The Prosecutor General’s Office revealed that the director of P.A.G. LLC and other employees at the station were involved in altering the gas meter to carry out the fraudulent activity.
As a result of the investigation, the suspects have been arrested and a criminal case has been initiated under the charge of large-scale theft. This incident sheds light on the importance of ensuring integrity and transparency in all business practices, especially in industries that are vital for the functioning of the community.
In a separate incident, officers from the State Security Service (SSS) and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes apprehended the chief engineer of the Urta Chirchik district gas supply company for accepting a bribe of $8,500.
