Establishment of Administrative Courts in Burdur and Karabük
The Ministry of Justice has announced the establishment of the Burdur Administrative Court and the Karabük Administrative Court, along with determining their respective jurisdictions. This decision was published in today’s Official Gazette, following positive opinions from the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Treasury and Finance, and Trade.
With the aim of improving access to justice services and enhancing the effectiveness of the judiciary, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç emphasized the significance of establishing these new administrative courts. Tunç also highlighted the overall increase in the number of administrative courts in the country, which rose from 60 in 2002 to 214 in total after the establishment of 33 new administrative courts in 2024.
Expressing his hopes for the positive impact of these newly established courts on the country, its citizens, and the judicial system, Minister Tunç emphasized the importance of providing efficient and accessible judicial services to the people. The decision to establish administrative courts in Burdur and Karabük signifies a step towards strengthening the legal infrastructure and ensuring timely resolution of legal matters for the benefit of the nation.
