Experience the Tokaj Wine Festival: Guided Cellar Tours Await You!
The Tokaj Wine Days event will be taking place this weekend, from May 31st to June 2nd, featuring eight wine exhibitors, gastronomic and craft fairs, and stage performances. This annual celebration will offer visitors the chance to explore the rich wine culture of the Tokaj region in Hungary.
Apart from the wine stands in the city center, several wineries will also open their cellars to welcome guests during the event. Attendees can enjoy wine tastings, guided cellar tours, and indulge in special gastronomic delights offered at the venues.
Due to ongoing construction works in the Tokaj city center, the event will be held in the surrounding streets of Kossuth Square instead of the usual location. The theme of this year’s Tokaj Wine Days is “multiple venues, live with the winemakers,” emphasizing the connection between visitors and the local wine producers.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the presentation of the Mayors’ Wine, a unique non-commercial wine specialty made from grapes grown in the local wine-growing settlements of the Tokaj region. Additionally, there will be live performances by local and regional bands on Saturday evening, with the Habana Social Club from Cuba taking the stage at the Paulay Ede Theater on Sunday.
For wine enthusiasts and music lovers alike, the Tokaj Wine Days is a must-visit event showcasing the best of Hungarian wine and culture. Don’t miss out on this exciting weekend filled with wine, food, music, and entertainment!
