An Event Celebrating Turkiye’s Tourism Potential Takes Place in Ashgabat
On April 17th, an event showcasing the tourism potential of Turkiye was held in Ashgabat as part of Turkiye’s Tourism Week, which runs from April 15th to 22nd. Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye in Turkmenistan, the event brought together representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, staff members from Turkmen and foreign media outlets, cultural figures, and other invited guests.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the success of Turkish tourism. He emphasized that Turkey is among the most visited countries globally, attributed to its climate, natural beauty, and rich historical and cultural heritage. The Ambassador also spoke about the strong cultural and tourism ties between Turkey and Turkmenistan, which are set to further strengthen.
Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, Nursahet Shirimov, expressed during his speech the dynamic development of relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey, particularly in the cultural and tourism spheres. He thanked the Turkish side for organizing such a vibrant event, acknowledging the significance of cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
The event was enlivened by Turkish musical performances and traditional Turkish treats, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the culture and gastronomy of Turkiye. The festive atmosphere fostered an exchange of experiences and insights into the offerings of the friendly country.
