Fatal Accident on BRTK Results in One Fatality
Fatal Traffic Accident on Nicosia-Famagusta Main Road
Tragedy struck early this morning on the Nicosia-Famagusta main road as a traffic accident resulted in the loss of 27-year-old Furkat Bazarow’s life. Abdullah Pirliyew, who was also in the vehicle, sustained injuries in the incident.
According to reports from the Police Press Officer’s Office, the accident occurred at 03:40 when a vehicle with plate number ET 678, driven by an unidentified individual at high speed and recklessly, lost control, veered off the road, and rolled over near MFC Motors in Demirhan on the Nicosia to Famagusta route. The vehicle ultimately landed back on its wheels after the ordeal.
Tragically, Furkat Bazarow, a resident of Cihangir, lost his life in the accident, while Abdullah Pirliyew suffered minor injuries. It was later discovered that Pirliyew had 136 milligrams of alcohol in his system. The identity of the driver at the time of the accident has yet to be determined as investigations by the police are ongoing.
