Two separate aviation incidents have occurred in Russia. According to state media reports, a Mi-8 type helicopter crashed and caught fire in the city of Klintsi in the Bryansk region, near the border with Ukraine. Two pilots were killed in the crash. The fire was quickly extinguished by emergency services. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet released a statement regarding the incident.
In a similar development, a Su-34 fighter plane crashed near the Ukrainian border just after the helicopter incident. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the fighter plane incident either.
Also, on the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported two soldiers died in a separate Mi-28 military helicopter crash in Crimea. The helicopter was unarmed and crashed during a training flight due to a technical failure.
There is no information regarding any causal links between the three crashes. Investigations are currently underway to determine the causes of each incident.
