Tragic Accident in Mamak: Mayor Veli Gündüz Şahin Responds
The Mamak Mayor, Veli Gündüz Şahin, visited the site of a devastating accident that occurred recently. Expressing his deep sympathy, Mayor Şahin described the incident as extremely heartbreaking. The accident involved a truck carrying bitumen, which was operated by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Unfortunately, the truck was unable to navigate a bend and became wedged beneath another vehicle, resulting in a 27-meter loss of life. Tragically, two individuals lost their lives at the scene, and another passed away in the hospital.
In response to this unforeseen tragedy, Mayor Şahin conveyed his sincere condolences, stating, “We are deeply saddened by this incident.” An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the accident and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
