Heavy Rainfall and Landslides in Northern India Result in 15 Fatalities

This staggering amount marks the highest recorded precipitation in a single day since 1982. In response to the heavy rain forecast, IMD has issued a “yellow alert” to alert residents of New Delhi.
The downpour has led to severe flooding in parks, underpasses, markets, and even hospital buildings, leading to major transportation disruptions. The Central Water Commission of India (CWC) has also reported that the water level of the Yamuna River in Delhi has risen significantly. It is predicted to surpass the danger limit of 205.33 meters on July 11.
