Fatih Terim’s Complaints About Seçil Erzan
Former bank manager Seçil Erzan has been at the center of a major controversy in the country. It has been revealed that he defrauded famous football players by promising them secret funds, and collected approximately 55 million dollars from 49 people. As a result, Erzan has been sentenced to 226 years in prison. Among the victims was former national team coach Fatih Terim, who stated in court that he was unaware of the secret fund and that he was supposed to receive 3 million dollars from the bank.
However, Terim’s lawyer has refuted these claims, emphasizing that there is no 3 million dollars that should have been in the bank and that there was an unnoticeable decrease in Terim’s accounts due to money exchanged between Terim and the bank.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Seçil Erzan had undergone 11 inspections during the period when he collected millions of dollars, but no irregular transactions regarding him could be detected.
As the case unfolds, a decision has been issued for former football player Semih Kaya and his manager Fırat Özdemir to be brought to court by force. Kaya, who allegedly received millions of dollars in return for the 3 million dollars he gave to Erzan, has spoken out for the first time, revealing that he was convinced to invest in a fund by Erzan’s advice.
The situation became even more tangled when the story of a bag full of money with a GPRS device inside emerged, as well as allegations that one of the defendants in the case known as Erzan’s bagman collected money from her village in Tekirdağ. Even more shockingly, it was revealed that Erzan invited a police officer in Çorlu to the fund and received 500 thousand dollars.
The case has garnered significant attention, leading to a statement from President Erdoğan, who promised that all aspects of the case will be thoroughly investigated. The scandal involving Seçil Erzan continues to unfold, leaving behind a trail of confusion, deceit, and betrayal.
