Egypt Welcomes Injured Palestinians from Gaza at Rafah Border Gate
In a written statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Health, details were provided about the injured individuals who entered Egypt from Gaza through the Rafah Border Gate.
The statement stated, “We have received the first group of our Palestinian brothers who were injured in the recent events in Gaza at the Rafah Border Gate.”
All the injured individuals are now being transferred to well-equipped hospitals located in the city of North Sinai.
Although the total number of individuals in the first group who were brought from Gaza remains undisclosed, it was disclosed that 117 of them were foreign nationals.
Latest Updates on Israel’s Attacks on Gaza
On the morning of October 7, in response to Israel’s “continuous violations against the Palestinians and their sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Hamas’s military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack. In retaliation, the Israeli army initiated intense aerial bombardment on the Gaza Strip.
Israeli officials have reported that over 1,400 Israelis, including 315 soldiers, have been killed and 5,132 people have been injured in the attacks from Gaza.
The number of Israeli soldiers killed in clashes in the Gaza Strip since October 31 has risen to 16.
Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari revealed that 240 Israeli prisoners are currently held captive by the Qassam Brigades in Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has confirmed that 8,796 Palestinians, including 3,648 children and 2,290 women, have been killed, and 22,219 individuals have been injured in the Israeli attacks.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces and Jewish settlers have caused the deaths of 130 Palestinians, leaving approximately 2,000 Palestinians injured.
Since October 26, the Israeli army has increased its limited ground operations in Gaza while intensifying airstrikes.
The Israeli army has even targeted Shifa Hospital, the largest health facility in Gaza, which has been overwhelmed with thousands of injured and civilians seeking medical assistance.
In the clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since October 8, 48 Hezbollah members and 4 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives.
