Flash TV Owner Erkan Kork Arrested Last Minute

An extensive illegal betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has led to the completion of operations for suspects captured in a police department operation on March 14. A total of 52 suspects, including the owner and an official of the payment organization “Payfix”, were brought before the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.

Among the suspects, 31 individuals, including the alleged ringleader Erkan Kork, faced charges related to establishing an organization to commit crimes and engaging in illegal betting activities. The Magistrate Criminal Court decided to release 21 suspects on judicial control measures.

Erkan Kork, the owner and official of Payfix, has been implicated in facilitating the operation of numerous virtual betting sites in Turkey. It was discovered that Kork integrated illegal betting panels with the company’s financial software system and established an organized network with the income generated from illegal activities.

A total of 59 suspects were identified in the investigation for utilizing Payfix’s services to transfer money from illegal betting sites and circulating revenues through fake accounts. The suspects face charges of organizing criminal activities, money laundering, and violating laws.

The alleged ringleader, Göktuğ Multimedya Publishing Joint Stock Company, also had assets confiscated, including a television channel known as “Flash Haber TV”. The investigation sheds light on the intricate web of illegal betting activities and the individuals involved in perpetuating them.
