Fraudster on the run for three years caught in Kemin district

A fraudster who had been on the run for three years was finally apprehended in the Kemin district. The Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region confirmed the arrest.
According to reports, a local resident alerted the authorities about a man named Maksat who had deceived him. In August 2021, Maksat took off with 114 heads of lambs after gaining the victim’s trust.
The police conducted investigative actions and successfully located the suspect, identified as T.A., 45, hiding in a barn in Dachi Su village. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility as he is suspected of committing the crime.
Authorities are also looking into the possibility of the detainee’s involvement in other similar crimes in the Chui region. The investigation is ongoing.
