Gazimağusa Municipality and Medical Association Team up for Child-Friendly Restaurants Project
A new cooperation protocol has been established between Famagusta Municipality (GMB) and the Turkish Cypriot Medical Association for the “Child Friendly Restaurants Project”. Famagusta Mayor Süleyman Uluçay and Cyprus Turkish Medical Association President Dr. Dt. Ahmet Özant signed the protocol at Famagusta Municipality, with Dr. Erdem Beyoğlu also present.
The aim of this collaboration is to enhance the child-friendly services provided by restaurants in Famagusta. Famagusta Municipality will work alongside the Turkish Cypriot Medical Association to inform and monitor the criteria set for child-friendly services in the Child Friendly Restaurants Project.
GMB President Süleyman Uluçay highlighted the importance of this partnership, expressing his happiness in contributing to better services for children in the city. He emphasized that this cooperation will continue to grow in the future.
Dr. Erdem Beyoğlu, who is involved in the project, shared his excitement about working with GMB on the Child Friendly Restaurants Project. The project intends to recognize restaurants where children can enjoy their meals in a comfortable and peaceful environment. Restaurants meeting the specified criteria will be awarded the “Child-Friendly Restaurant Certificate” by the Turkish Cypriot Medical Association in collaboration with GMB.
The project is expected to be completed within three months, with participating restaurants undergoing inspections by the municipalities to ensure they meet the child-friendly service standards. Once finalized, the Child-Friendly Restaurants will be announced on the website by the end of the year.
This initiative reflects a commitment to providing a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for families with children in Famagusta. Stay tuned for more updates on the progress of the Child Friendly Restaurants Project.
