Gendarmerie Sergeant Mehmet Fatih Çangır Martyred in Motorcycle Accident
A tragic accident occurred in the Turnasuyu Neighborhood of the Gülyalı district, leaving Gendarmerie Chief Warrant Officer Mehmet Fatih Çangır injured. The incident took place around 10.30 a.m. while Çangır was on duty at the Turnasuyu Gendarmerie traffic control point and was hit by a motorcycle.
Medical teams rushed to the scene upon notification and transported Çangır to a nearby private hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Çangır succumbed to his injuries. It was revealed that Çangır, who was originally from Sakarya, had been assigned to Ordu just two months ago to begin his duties.
The identity of the motorcycle driver involved in the accident remains unknown, and they were also taken to the hospital for medical attention. The investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the cause and circumstances leading to the unfortunate event.
