Germany Contemplates Accepting Uzbekistan Diplomas

Joint projects aimed at training Uzbek youth in cutting-edge technologies and subsequently securing employment for them in German enterprises are on the horizon. The plans for these initiatives were discussed during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Shohruh Gulomov, and a delegation of German experts in education and migration on April 1, 2025.

The German delegation comprised directors of regional chambers of commerce and industry in Germany, as well as heads of investment companies under the GP Günter Papenburg AG holding. The meeting encompassed various promising areas of cooperation, with a spotlight on the joint training of Uzbek youth in advanced technologies to facilitate their integration into the German job market.

Furthermore, efforts are underway to provide privileges to German professionals working in Uzbekistan, enhancing collaboration between the two countries. Recognition of Uzbek diplomas in Germany and the prospective inclusion of Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions and vocational colleges in ANABIN, the German Ministry of Education’s information database, were also pivotal topics discussed during the meeting.

These collaborative efforts aim to strengthen the exchange of expertise and skills between Uzbekistan and Germany, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship for both nations. The initiatives are anticipated to provide valuable opportunities for Uzbek youth to acquire specialized knowledge and gain practical experience in high-demand fields, ultimately contributing to their professional development and career advancement.
