Global Support for Palestine: Demonstrations in Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, and Washington

Protests against Israel’s attacks on Gaza in Berlin
On Saturday, demonstrators gathered at Invaliden Park in Berlin, the capital of Germany, to protest Israel’s attacks on Gaza with the slogan “Stop this war worldwide.” The protest, which took place in the Mitte district, drew attention from both local and international media, with the world watching as the events unfolded.
The protesters later marched through the city center, chanting slogans such as “Why is the world silent?”, “Netanyahu is committing genocide, the world is watching”, “Freedom for Palestine”, and “Ceasefire now”. The demonstration brought together people from diverse backgrounds who came together to speak out against the ongoing violence in the region.
In a statement to AA, one activist emphasized the importance of standing against antisemitism and racism while also condemning the violence in Gaza. They said, “Of course, we need to stand against antisemitism and racism. I believe that one cannot be used as an excuse for the other.”
The demonstration in Berlin is just one of many that have been taking place around the world in solidarity with the people of Gaza. The international community has been closely following the events in the region, with calls for a ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict becoming increasingly urgent.
As the protests continue and the world watches, the voices of those speaking out against the violence in Gaza are growing louder. It remains to be seen what impact these demonstrations will have on the situation, but for now, the global community stands in solidarity with the people of Gaza, calling for an end to the violence and a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
