Government to Offer 50 Million UZS Subsidy for Foreign Language Teachers

Foreign Language Teachers in Uzbekistan Eligible for Subsidy

In an effort to improve the quality of foreign language education in vocational education institutions and professional skills centers, foreign language teachers in Uzbekistan are now eligible for a one-time subsidy. This initiative aims to support educators and enhance the level of foreign language instruction in accordance with international standards.

The ranking of teachers will be determined based on the number of their students who have obtained international language certificates. The top 50 teachers who achieve the highest results in English, Korean, German, and Japanese—measured by the number of students who obtain at least a B1 level or an equivalent international certificate—will each receive a subsidy of 50 million UZS.

To participate in the ranking system and apply for the subsidy, foreign language teachers must submit their applications through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services by February 25, 2025. The necessary documents can be uploaded via a special link provided for the application process.

This initiative is in line with Presidential Decree No. PD-367, issued on October 17, 2024, and aims to elevate the standard of foreign language education in vocational training institutions and professional skills centers to meet international benchmarks.

For more information and inquiries, individuals can contact the Migration Agency at +99871-202-33-55 (extension 32). This subsidy program serves as a positive step towards promoting excellence in foreign language education and supporting teachers in Uzbekistan.
