Guatemala’s New Ambassador to Turkmenistan
The chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, recently received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala, Eduardo Enrique Hernandez Recinos. The meeting took place on Tuesday, February 10, where President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s representative congratulated the diplomat on his new role and wished him success in strengthening relations between the two nations.
During the meeting, the Ambassador was briefed on Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policies, as well as the role of the Mejlis in implementing democratic reforms. Both parties discussed the current state of Turkmen-Guatemalan relations and highlighted the importance of collaboration in promoting peace and trust between countries and peoples.
Following the meeting with Dunyagozel Gulmanova, the Ambassador also met with Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. They explored opportunities for cooperation in various fields such as politics, economics, and humanitarian efforts. The importance of establishing inter-parliamentary contacts was emphasized, along with discussions on Guatemala’s participation in events related to the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Overall, the discussions between the representatives of Turkmenistan and Guatemala centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation and building a stronger relationship between the two nations. As they expressed their willingness to collaborate further, both parties are optimistic about the future of their partnership.
