Health Crisis in Gaza: Northern Hospitals Shut Down

Hospitals in Gaza Out of Service
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Ashraf al-Qudra, recently made a statement about the dire situation of hospitals in the area.
According to al-Qudra, hospitals in the north of Gaza are currently out of service, and there are significant difficulties in operating part of the Shifa Hospital. Despite these challenges, he stated that efforts will continue to operate hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis is currently full of nearly a thousand injured people, with some even lying on the ground due to the overwhelming number of patients.
The situation in the Gaza Strip has escalated due to the recent attack by Hamas’s armed wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, in response to Israel’s violations against Palestinians and their sacred values. The Israeli army retaliated with intense air bombardment on the Gaza Strip.
The number of casualties has been devastating, with over 16,000 Palestinians killed, including thousands of children and women, since the recent conflicts began. Additionally, attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem have resulted in more Palestinian deaths.
The Israeli army’s attacks have also targeted hospitals in Gaza, causing numerous casualties. Furthermore, the clashes have spilled over into southern Lebanon, where both civilians and Hezbollah members have lost their lives.
Amidst the chaos, a prisoner swap agreement was reached between Hamas and Israel, leading to the release of prisoners from both sides. However, the Israeli army resumed their attacks on the Gaza Strip immediately after the “humanitarian pause,” further exacerbating the situation in the region.
The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and the surrounding areas continues to take a heavy toll on the civilian population, as hospitals struggle to cope with the overwhelming number of injured individuals. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and calling for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of life.
