Illegal Jewish Settlers Ramp up Attacks on Palestinian Sites in West Bank
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues to escalate, with a recent report indicating a surge in attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinian properties in the West Bank and Jerusalem. According to a statement from the Resistance Committee to the Separation Wall, affiliated with the Palestinian government, there were 347 attacks recorded last month.
The attacks targeted 36 Palestinian villages, resulting in the complete burning of 36 houses and partial damage to 33 others. Additionally, 57 vehicles were either partially or completely destroyed. The Israeli army also seized 172 decares of land in the West Bank and Jerusalem, with plans to build 2,288 new houses in illegal settlements.
Chairman of the Bedouin Rights Defense Organization, Hasan Melihat, reported that Jewish settlers had attacked the Bedouin community in the Jericho region of the West Bank on two separate occasions. The Palestinian news agency WAFA documented an attack by settlers on a Palestinian vehicle, tents, and crops in the Jordan Valley.
The ongoing violence and aggression in the region highlight the need for urgent action to address the root causes of the conflict and protect the rights and safety of all individuals living in the area. The international community must work towards finding a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to ensure a future of stability and coexistence for both communities.
