İmamoğlu Raises Eyebrows with Bold Statement Targeting Kılıçdaroğlu
İmamoğlu’s Striking Statement: “Those who talk about issues betray the nation”
During the opening program of the Battalgazi Fire Station in Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), made a striking statement regarding the responsibilities of politicians towards the nation.
Imamoğlu emphasized the significance of the firefighting profession and extended his well wishes to those who choose to serve in this field. He highlighted the crucial role of the fire department in responding swiftly to fires and disasters, underscoring the benefits of the newly opened station for Sultanbeyli and surrounding districts.
The Mayor expressed pride in inaugurating the fire station on September 19, Veterans Day, stating, “Our veterans hold immense value for us. Each martyr, veteran, and member of our armed forces and security personnel play a vital role in safeguarding our homeland and the liberties of our people.”
Imamoğlu called upon citizens to support the fire brigade in reaching fire and disaster sites, urging them to report any non-compliance with regulations to the authorities. He also emphasized the need for politicians to focus on addressing the nation’s issues and finding solutions, rather than engaging in trivial disagreements.
In a bold proclamation, Imamoğlu stated, “Those who talk about issues and make others talk about them betray the nation and our commander-in-chief, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.” He emphasized that political parties are tools for serving the nation, and anyone who does not strive to do so is not worthy of the country and its people.
Following his impassioned speech, Imamoğlu, along with CHP Istanbul Deputy Yunus Emre and local mayors, cut the ribbon and officially opened the Sultanbeyli Battalgazi Neighborhood Fire Station. The event symbolized a commitment to serving the community and upholding the values of the nation.
